Catalytic Post-Combustion

Description

Catalytic post-combustion systems (KNV systems for short) are used to clean industrial exhaust air flows. The pollutants contained in the exhaust air - mostly volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as alkanes, aromatic compounds, solvents and the like - are almost completely oxidized at moderate temperatures with the help of catalysts and converted into the harmless compounds carbon dioxide and water.

The systems are mainly used in industry for processes with very low levels of pollutants and which do not require any process heat.

CUTEC has three small mobile plants (2 x single-stage, 1 x three-stage), which can be used directly on the respective process for test purposes, for example to answer the following questions:

- What emission concentrations do certain catalysts achieve?
- How quickly is the catalyst deactivated? What service life can be expected?
- How do the oxidation and formation of secondary pollutants depend on the operating conditions (temperature, residence time, etc.)?

In addition, it is possible to adapt the system technology according to the problem and customer requirements. The design, manufacture and installation of equipment modifications can usually be realized by our in-house staff.
